How to balance this chakra
Be creative in your daily life. This is different for each of us, but for a moment forget the consequences and explore what you can do. I recently went to an art class with my daughter after Yoga. I was fearful of picking up the brush as my ego said I wasn’t any good enough. My daughter egged me on, and guess what I loved it.
Its no Picasso, but I made it with my own hands and I was pretty pleased with the result. I would highly recommend Yogart at Canvass, which is a great class to combine Yoga with Art to stimulate your creativity. http://www.canvass.com.sg
Being creative doesn’t just mean picking up a paint-brush, you can be creative in so many other ways such as baking, gardening or even problem solving
A fluid yoga practice which use Surya Namaskaras, such as Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga are great ways to stimulate this chakra. Vinyasa is often described as a dancing form of Yoga which allows us to let go completely and be creative. This is how I also find creativity in making sequences that are beautiful and connect body and mind. Come and try one of our Yoga Flow classes which are listed here
Bandha means to lock, close-off, to stop. In the practice of a Bandha, the energy flow to a particular area of the body is blocked. When the Bandha is released, this causes the energy to flood more strongly through the body with an increased pressure. Contractions of the anus, Mula Bandha and sacral areas are very effective to stimulate movement.
Asanas. poses such as Cat/Cow (Bidalasana), Goddess Squats, Bridge, and Supta Baddha Konasana are also great asanas to incorporate into your practice
