6 years ago, completely by chance, Yoga came to Peishan as an opportunity to start getting fit. At age 30, her body was stiff as a log and she could barely lift her own bodyweight in a push-up. Nothing would have changed had she not taken a tiny little first step and stuck with it.
The progress didn’t come easy, and the start was a tremendous struggle physically and mentally. Perhaps it was through this very personal experience that Peishan keenly understands why so many beginners have such an inertia to start Yoga. This made her especially passionate about helping beginners establish strong foundations. Peishan places emphasis on connecting the mind, body and breath through detailed instruction of postural alignment. She focuses on helping her students gain more body awareness, and encourages practicing safely. Her classes are dynamic yet grounding, always with an element of fun.
Her classes are dynamic and built on the foundations of proper alignment and breathing technique
Why do you like teaching?
I love teaching because I see the transformation of my students happening right in front of my eyes every time they roll out their mat. I want to help my students take what they learn on their mat with them into their lives.
